New roads (to tour) for Helicon?

Helicon are hitting the road to promote their new single, which features the legendary Will Carruthers. This post has an exclusive video interview with Helicon’s frontman that explains all about the tour, single and much more.

Helicon release their brilliantly acerbic new single, ‘I’m more English than you, you cunt’, today featuring the inimitable Will Carruthers on vocals.

Furthermore, the Glasgow drone rockers embark on a mini-tour to promote its release, which provides a welcome return to action for one of the UK’s best undiscovered bands. Groovy and trippy, with sitar upfront for many tracks, they are a mesmeric live act you are urged to see live.

To find out more about all these goings on, check out the EXCLUSIVE video below with Helicon vocalist/guitarist John-Paul Hughes. He tells us how thrilled he was to collaborate with one of his musical heroes, how much airplay the single will receive!, the upcoming tour, and the band’s musical plans.

John-Paul Hughes talks exclusively to Even Butterflies Make A Sound.

The Helicon tour dates are:

02/09 The Ferret, Preston
03/09 Hot Box, Chelmsford
04/09 The Victoria, Dalston, London
05/09 Berlin Arts Lab, Barnsley
22/10 Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh
23/10 The Chameleon, Nottingham

See you there!
